The Daimler Company was acquired by Jaguar in May 1960 from the BSA Group as Lyons sought to diversify, and in doing so gave himself new markets in the Luxury Limousine and Commercial areas, another plus was that through the extra factory space it virtually doubled Jaguars capacity. What was not foreseen was that Daimlers would eventually lose their own engineering identity and largely end up as badge-engineered Jaguars, but at least Jaguar dutifully kept the proud name alive on a range of cars that are a credit to the Daimler tradition. Our 1975 Daimler Sovereign is of course the Jaguar XJ6 4.2. It is a Series II in Midnight Blue and is a Long Wheelbase which gives you that all important extra 4 inches in the rear seat area.

The Jaguar XJ6, where timeless lines, luxurious ride and smooth powerful 4.2 XK series engine, all add up to making this car a true motoring icon.

A. No, this price is for a full day hire.

Q. Is there a driver included in this price?
A. No there isn’t, we do have a chauffeured option available for an extra $100.00 per hour. Please give us a call for a quote.

Q. How many people can fit in this car?
A. You can fit 4 people comfortably (including driver) but you could fit 5 in total.

Q. Is there a bond required?
A. You will be asked to sign a separate security bond of $1500.00 nzd for over 25 years of age, or $2000.00 nzd for under 25 years of age in the form of a Credit Card imprint, or a cash deposit. This bond covers your excess upon an accident or damage to the vehicle, plus any extra costs such as fuel refill at the end of your hire or any traffic infringements, losses or breakages. A credit card imprint must be on all rental agreements and must be the credit card of the main hirer, unless prior arrangements have been made.

Q. Is the fuel included in this price?
A. No, you will be given the car with a full tank of gas and we would like you to return it the same way.
